Assembly Frame

The internal assembly frame for the printable Earth: a central hub with one strut per tile, each strut ending in a plate that sits on the tile's flat bottom face. Each plate is shown at full size — it exactly matches the outline of the tile's underside, so adjacent plates meet edge-to-edge just as the assembled tiles will. The frame aligns every tile at its exact spherical position and stiffens the globe. The rotation axis here is the Earth's polar axis (the caps lie on it, pointing up/down on screen). Drag to rotate, scroll to zoom; the faint wireframe sphere is the globe's surface (R = 100 mm).
